Last week, we just finished building a pond here on the farm and are excited about the new opportunities this will bring to the farm. This pond will feed water into a network of underground waterlines that will be used to water the cattle all across the farm. The water from this pond will also be used for irrigating our pastures and crops.

But most of all we are excited about the possibilities of creating a great place for you to come and visit our farm, spend some time fishing or maybe just enjoying a beautiful sunset.

5 Ways to Sip Your Grass-fed Bone Broth

Our 100% grass-fed beef bone broth is slow-simmered with apple cider vinegar, rosemary, thyme, garlic, bay leaf, and sea salt — creating a rich, savory base that’s packed with nutrients and flavor. It’s ready to sip, but with a few simple twists, you can turn it into something extra special. Here are five of our favorite ways to enjoy a hot cup of bone broth.  1. Lemon Ginger Immune Sipper Bright and soothing — perfect for cold and flu season or when you need a little pick-me-up. * 1 cup of our bone broth (heated) * 1–2 thin slices of fresh ginger * Squeeze of fresh lemon juice * Optional: pinch of cayenne for a little kick How to: Heat broth, add ginger slices, and simmer 2 minutes. Squeeze in lemon before sipping.  2. Golden Turmeric Latte Broth A warming, anti-inflammatory twist with a creamy finish. * 1 cup of our bone broth (heated) * ½ tsp turmeric powder * Pinch of black pepper (helps absorb turmeric) * Splash of coconut milk or cream How to: Whisk turmeric and pepper into hot broth, stir in coconut milk, and enjoy like a latte.  3. Herbal Honey Comfort Cup Lightly sweet and soothing — kid-friendly and perfect for sore throats. * 1 cup of our bone broth (heated) * 1 tsp raw honey (or to taste) * Optional: squeeze of fresh orange juice How to: Stir honey into hot broth until dissolved. Add orange juice if desired. ---  4. Savory Mushroom Boost Umami-rich and hearty enough for a light snack. * 1 cup of our bone broth (heated) * 2–3 sliced mushrooms (button, shiitake, or your favorite) * Dash of tamari or coconut aminos How to: Sauté mushrooms in a pan, then add to hot broth with a splash of tamari.  5. Spicy Southwest Broth Cup For when you crave bold flavor and a little heat. * 1 cup of our bone broth (heated) * Dash of chili flakes or hot sauce * Squeeze of lime juice * Sprinkle of chopped fresh cilantro How to:  Stir chili flakes or hot sauce into broth, then finish with lime and cilantro. ---  Bring Comfort to Your Cup Bone broth is one of the easiest ways to add nourishment and comfort to your day.
