Flank or Skirt Steak Marinade
This marinade is perfect for flank or skirt steak and pairs great with tacos or fajitas

Ingredients

  • (1 Flank or Skirt Steak) Flank Steak
  • (1/8 cup) Olive Oil
  • (1/8 cup) Fresh Orange Juice
  • (1/8 Cup) Fresh. Lime Juice
  • (1/8 cup) Fresh Lemon Juice
  • (1 tbsp) Apple Cider Vinegar
  • (1/2 fresh bunch or 1 tbsp dried) Fresh or dried cilantro
  • (2 cloves) Garlic
  • (1/2 tsp) Ground Cumin
  • (1/2 tsp) Chili Powder
  • (1/2 tsp) Sea Salt
  • (1/2 tsp) Black Pepper
  • (1 pepper (optional)) Chopped Jalapeno

Directions

  1. Mix all the ingredients (except steak) together in a mixing bowl 
  2. Place the steak in a ziplock bag and pour marinade over the steak
  3. Seal ziplock bag and place in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours but it is not recommended to exceed 24 hours
  4. Heat grill or frying pan to high heat
  5. Sear steak 4-5 minutes per side until internal temperature reads 135 degrees F
  6. Remove from grill wrap in tinfoil and let sit for 5-10 minuts
  7. Slice steak against the grain for an amazing experience

Flank steak is what is used for Carne Asada in Mexican restaurants and Flank or Skirt works great in fajitas.
